Hosted by Sir Hew Strachan, Professor of International Relations, the conference took place at University of St Andrews, Scotland’s oldest university. It has the support of the Scottish Government and the Department of Culture Media and Sport, and was incorporated by both in their sequence of commemorative events to mark the centenary of the First World War.
